We look at the 70 year Resistance of the Wadawurrung People against the British, the Squatters and the Gold Seekers, Like most of the frontier conflict what we see is economic warfare from Aboriginal people against the invaders by using fire, dingoes, stealing livestock and burning crops.

At Awesome Black we don’t like to talk about the deficit that First Nations people have gone through, we don’t like to talk about the history of government failures and the effects they have had on our communities. We recognise that they have happened, but we want to talk about what we can do right now to get things moving forward for us, by us.

And how do we make sure that we can in the future?
